Capital Area Greenbelt Association

Five Senses Gardens, a section of the Greenbelt

Last year, during the fall, I led a service project on the Greenbelt. My project consisted of removing the gravel and weed-mat from two bridges on a stretch of the Greenbelt. The gravel been falling into the water below the bridge and was causing pollution. The weed-mat had become displaced and was either bunched up near either end of the bridge or hanging into the water below. The removal of the two hazards was a very small task within the scope of the whole Greenbelt, where there are numerous projects that the Greenbelt needs completed.

There are many ways to contribute to the Greenbelt. Volunteer work and projects, along with donations, are always welcomed by the Greenbelt Association.

Here is the official Capital Area Greenbelt Association website.
